I'm looking to get a card for an AGP 4x slot. I've narrowed it down to the Radeon X800 Pro and the Radeon X800 GTO, though I read that the 6800 GS AGP is coming out soon.

So my questions are:
[*:1ddac70830]Which is better: The X800 Pro or the X800 GTO?
[*:1ddac70830]Should I wait instead for 6800 GS AGP?
The 6800GS AGP is supposed to be around $249, whereas I can get the X800 for $200 and the GTO for $220, and I'm looking to maximize my price/performance. I'd rather order soon but if the GS is noticeably better I can wait for that. The card is mainly going to be used for Counterstrike: Source on a P4-2.0 Ghz with 384 RAM.

Thanks for the reply, but I haven't been able to find an AGP x850xt for anything less than around $360. (edit: Nevermind, I see you said 800xt :) I'll look further into the 800xt)

And according to these benchmarks:

It seems that the X800 Pro and 6600 GT are the best deals. The 6600 GT doesn't seem powerful enough so I was leaning towards the X800 Pro, but wasn't sure if I should get the X800 GTO or wait for the 6800 GS AGP instead.

I couldn't find the X800 XT for anything less than $270, which wasn't as good a deal as the X800 Pro based on my price/performance metrics.

Then I saw elsewhere in this forum a link to this other site below, and just before I closed the window I saw that the price listed for the X850 XT was before rebate:
http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0217999

For $250 after rebate the X850 XT edges out even the X800 Pro in terms of price/benchmark :D

Heh, originally when I started I was only planning on spending about $120 since this computer is likely to be replaced in a year, but I can't complain about this deal.
