Spooler service keeps crashing

I have a Windows NT server used as a print server, but unfortunately the
spooler service keeps crashing. The only solution seems to be to restart the
service but this often causes documents to be lost.

Does anyone know how to repair the spooler service?

No idea what "crashing" means but check Event Viewer for errors.
