Is your motherboard dual channel capable? If it is, go for the 2x512. If not, take the 1GB module. Of course, if you only have two memory slots, and you're dual channel, and you're thinking you may want to add more memory at some point, you would have to get rid of the 512 modules. If you have four slots slots, you're good.

thanks for ur idea.

lets say i got a board with dual channel capable

i got another question, if ill get 1X1G
then after a few months ill get another 1X1G.
"these two memory would be the same kind".

will it function as dual channel?

or

dual channel will only function if value kits were acquired?

yes it will, maybe... but could run at 2T timing taking a performance hit of 3 or 4 % if was running at 1T because of the # of banks, but far faster than single channel mode.

Dual channel is 2 of the same sticks (by any manufacturer) in a dual channel motherboard. 2 corsairs, 2 Kingstons, 2 Geils, 2 generic, etc. You can get 1x1g now and a second later, and it probably will work in dual channel as long as you get RAM that has the same timings (and preferably the same chips 'inside', though that's not critical)

oic thats good to know.

what do you prefer in this list?

Kingston - KVR400X64C3A/512 --> ($45) x2 = $90
Corsair - VS1GBKIT400C3 (2x512) --> $105
PQI - PQ4D328D5 (also CL3)(512) --> ($36x2) = $72
*all of these were ddr400

thanks :) these were the prices in our place.
i dont know if getting lower and higher price would do
mind giving me a professional advice.
thanks again

Of those, the cheapest will do fine, PQI

Good CPU, and epoc makes good boards, but the AsRock is a good board and the best price you have listed.

Get the PQI memory, it is cheaper, and you won't notice a difference if you got the corsair.

If you want to spend more on memory, go for a CAS of 2

sir thanks for that,

cause im having trouble if what memory i could have
ill just pick the PQI. i cant afford CAS 2 of corsair (too big difference
in price) maybe ill invest to the other parts.

Epox issues that i have read, (forget where the page ive read it)
is it true that are some problems with epox 9NPA+ USB?
it cant run on 2.0? they say the system crashes
if was set to 2.0. that why they set it to 1.1?

and any suggestions for a vcard.?

thank you for having ur time.
im glad that im being entertained.
