Hi

I need to set up a printer that prints to a file. I understand I can
do this by setting the port to FILE:, but that then prompts the user
for a filename. This is a problem because a batch user will be using
this printer! Is there some way I can print unique files without being
prompted?

Thanks
Jimi

Add a new local port and name it as the file name (including path).

Thanks Davide

Except that each time I send a print to that printer, it'll overwrite
the file currently there. I need to be able to print each print with a
UNIQUE file name.

Virtual Port Monitor does this, with plenty
of options for the resulting filename, and
a post-print application feature to perform
some type of processing on the file if desired.
