Backplate for Asrock 939dual sata2?

Do I need to install a backplate on my asrock 939dual sata 2 if I'm using stock cooler? thanx.

it should already be on the motherboard. unless theirs is different

You said it, it's a NOT a standart board as far as the HSF goe's.
I read somewhere that a stock cooler will do the job without a backplate. Can anyone confirm?

Backplate are there to help to maintain bigger cooler available. With stock cooler, no need.

With the stock cooler that you get with the processor, you do NOT need a backplate. I got this huge honkin thing with heatpipes to cool my cpu and without the backplate, it probably would have ripped the cpu mount right off the board. But yea, you should be fine if your using stock cooling.
