We are on Windows NT 4.0 and share the printer through the
server. How can we stop the Printer alerts we are getting
from the server? Surely this is something simple?

Open up the Printers applet.

File -> Server Properties

Hit the "Advanced" tab, and uncheck "Notify when remote documents are
printed"
