I am looking for an enclosure with no included drives
I want 3 or 4 drives and raid 5.
I need either a usb 2.0 or firewire connector
Nas not needed
Hot swap not needed either.
I'm having a hard time finding an enclosure for a reasonable price
Any recommendations?

Uhhhh... as far as I know you can't run RAID in any form or fashion on a USB or Firewire enclosure. You can do it on a SATA or IDE enclosure though.

If I'm mistaken, please link me to a USB/Firewire enclosure that is RAID capable.

Unless you're refering to hot swap bay enclosures that do both IDE and USB. Those are made... see here:

This should meet all of your requirements except the "reasonable price" part, but then again I have no idea how much you're willing to spend.

Ohhhhhhhh... he meant a RAID tower. I was thinking he meant seperate USB enclosures for each drive.

Yes thats a nice unit but $1400 is not reasonable :)
I want something just like that but with no drives, no lcd readouts, no hotswap, just fixed hard drives. Something in the $300 range.

The maxtor product comes with hard drives so no.
The other 3 products do not do Raid 5.
You need 3 hard drives to do Raid 5 so a 2 hard drive conclosure will not work.
