Greetings,

I was wondering if NT 4.0 WINS with service pack 6 should
have some buttons to manually delete and tombstone records?
I was reading that it should, but our, on two different
servers does not.

Thank you in advance,

Chrisbo

What exactly do you see in WINS manager? If you double click
on the WINS servers tcp/ip address you don't see a list of mappings
along with a tombstone or delete button?

No, sir. When I double click then go to mappings, I do
not see those buttons anywhere inside the WINS manager I
have searched and so Has my boss. They are not there. I
see all the mappings and some other buttons, like delete
owner, set filter, close, help, ect.....but not the others.

Can you tell us hoe to add them please?

Chris

You click on Mappings / Show Database then
highlight a particular mapping you want to delete
then click on delete and you will get an option
to "tombstone" or delete.

I do not have the button to delete, as you said I should.
Ddelete never pops up when I click on the mapping I want
to delete. How do I get this button?
