$169 Asus P5LD2 S775 i945P Chipset 1066Mhz PCI-Ex16/3+1PCI/4DDR2, w/Sound GB-Lan SATA Raid USB 2.0

$219 Asus P5LD2-DX S775 i945P Chipset 1066Mhz PCI-Ex16/3+1PCI/4DDR2, w/Sound GB-Lan SATA II IEEE 1394

$139 Asus P5LD2-VM S775 i945G Chipset 1066Mhz PCI-Ex16/2+1PCI/4DDR2, w/Sound GB-Lan SATA II USB 2.0

the first two are 945P and the last one is 945G, from what i know the first one and third one has 1st more PCI slot, and the 3rd one has build in graphics and support SATA II

after looking through some www.asus.com i am not sure which one to buy, there is a ~30 dollar difference between the first one and third one, the 3rd one being cheaper. if the only downside is one less PCI then i will go with the cheaper one, assuming the "Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950" won't interfere with the ATI card i am going to stick on it.

Can anyone clarify on what i think of these two boards? perhaps tell me i am way off track heheh
Should i consider the second board since it's $80 more than the 3rd one

Get the P5LD2-VM, if you don't need the extra slots. Save some money, maybe use it towards a better video card.

Yes, if you insert a video card, it will disable the onboard video.
