I have a 380w power supply and it requires a minimum 400w. Will it really affect performance if I don't upgrade.

-Any recommendations if I do need to upgrade.

Thanks

Is that an Antec TP 380W? If yes, then I would try it with that PSU and stress it with 3DMark run. If the PSU is insufficient, then you might get instability issues or reboots. What are the rest of your system specs? Include all optical and HDD...

I think that pretty much covers it...

Then look and read from label!

I have been running an evga 7800 GT ocd in my dell 8400 with the stock 350 watt psu. I have more items, ram, 3.2, sound and capture cards, than you, and am having no problems whatsoever.

288 watts is the highest consumption I have recorded, running BF2.

About 35 days so far, and stable as a rock.

It will should work, is that the TruePower 380?
I would try it and see if any errors occur and check the voltages while running under a load.

It just says "True 380" . I have a picture of the label if you want it.

Thanks for your help.

That is a step down in quality from the TruePower series. Still good, just more for economy...

That is an Antec TruePower.
