fans in a case

hi, when a case comes with fans, do they plug into your motherboard or PSU?

It varies from case to case. I've seen some that just have the 4-pin molex connector (same as your hard drive) and some with the 3 pin connector for the motherboard. Your best bet is to look at screenshots and hope they show it.

The motherboard ones might or might not have the 3rd pin which controls the rpm's... that depends on the fan itself and if it can do that.
Also some PSU's (like Antec) have fan only 4 pin molex connectors which control the fan rpm dependent on the temperature as the PSU sees it.
