Hello there,

This is my first time putting together a system.

I need a machine to watch and encode video with hi quality, but playing hi-end games would also be nice.

I have already bought an AMD 64x2 4400 processor, a Creative X-fi sound-card, a 300 GB SATA HDD, a 7800 GT video-card, and Windows Media Center 2005.

Which motherboard would you choose if you weren't interested in overclocking or messing with BIOS and so. I am looking for a board which will last me a few years.

I also need to buy 1Gb Memory for it and need help with that. Witch brand/model should I go for?

Thanks!

To bad, the ATI X1800's are better with video and features.
The Asus A8R-MVP is a good board, I will be doing a consumer review next week on it, using the HiS X1800XT, 1gig of Corsair eXpert DDR @ 2-2-2-5-1T and a Raptor RAID0 for O/S and a SATA2 RAID1 for data.
