6600GT vs 6800GS.

I see that the 6600 series came out after the 6800 as a reduced power alternative. I don't mind the reduction in power if it's at least close to the 6800.

Is the 6600GT at least 85% as good as the 6800GS? If so, then being only 55% the price seems like a great deal! I can get my budget back on track for only sacrificing 15% of GPU performance.

I've tried searching the TomsHardware archives for benchmarks comparing the 6600 to the 6800 but I've found nothing!

The 6800GS is most comparible to the 6800GT. So try looking up that card under the VGA charts. F.E.A.R would be the best test of graphics card performance as of yet, so check the benchmark of that game.

From my own research - one 6800GS will beat two 6600GT's in SLI. So I would recommend the 6800GS.
