OPINION FOR NEW COMP

After 2 or3 month’s I think to by this configuration:

CPU INTEL P4 640 boxed
RAM 2xDDR2 PC2-5400/667MHz Kingston
VC ASUS 7800GTX /256 MB
HDD 200GB MAXTOR DMAX PLUS9 8MB SERIAL ATA
MONITOR LG FLATRON F720P
PSU ENERMAX NOISTALKER 600W
CD-RW/DVD LG
Any other suggestion

If this will primarily be used for gaming then you should seriously look at AMD. If you really want to stick with Intel, then I recommend you look at the new 65nm chips that Intel will be releasing in January.

I will use the comp for gaming and professional engineering aps like orcad and several simulating programs.

NP. Will require differnet mobo, too. IIRC Intel's 975chipset, but I don't use a lot of intel.

It's just happened that when I've done a lot of my builds that AMD has had the best price/performance.
