I've been wanting to change my current memory for some time now and and some DDR Corsair 1GB (2*512) 400fsb TWINX VALUE C2.5 is on sale. Now i'm not huge into hardware, i've built a few PC but i have not followed hardware technology in some time so i have a question.

I'm currently running of an Asus A8V K8T800 PRO Motherboard. Now i'm fairly certain i cant use DDR2 with this motherboard but would the ram i mentioned that was on special work on this board?

Thanks in advance.

Change it? From what? Is there something wrong with your current memory??

But anyways, yes, that should work fine.
The mboard spec calls for DDR 400Mhz. You cannot use DDR2. It has a different notch position on the RAM, so you could not even insert it... unless you tried really hard and broke something.
