Yes - As does Vista

Now - As for the programs you install, that's a different discussion: It matters not if the hardware is multi core, and the OS is multi core, when you have a single threaded program running.

------------------------------ Which Chip? Well, it depends on which set of thieving b@stardz you choose to support: The ones who use insider trading to enrich themselves while running their company into the ground, or the ones who illegally pay vendors to not support the first group.

As stated above, both 7 and Vista are designed to level the load across all cores as evenly as possible, while XP will tend to just load up the first core until it is nearly full. If the program is only single threaded though, the program still will not benefit from multi core. The OS can't add more threads to a single threaded program.

No, but it can put everything else on 3 of the cores, thereby freeing up one core to do nothing but process your game. So yes, multicore does help even single threaded applications.

What about 32 & 64 bit tecnology? I have read an article that win7 will support both of technologies (in one os?)

^ That has been the case since XP-64 I think, or at least Vista 64.

Windows 7 is going to use the same kernel as Vista - so will behave in exactly the same way to Vista in this regard

Yes, like all other OSs from this millenium.

XP64 is for x86, the version of XP for itanium processors is 64 bit though.
