First let me apologize if this has been asked before. I read the sticky and perused the last five forum pages looking for dupes, but that's not saying I could have missed it also. :)

I was thinking about getting some more memory for my computer and have been running into some questions and was hoping to get some other's opinions.

My motherboard is an ASUS A8V-E Deluxe. I currently have 1gig of Corsair memory as dual channel.

Link to 1gig memory (What I currently have)

Timing: 2-2-2-5

Been looking at upgrading with this (2gig)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820145575
Timing: 2-3-3-6 settings on AMD platforms

The issue here is obviously the different timings. So far I have been unsuccessful in finding 2 gigs of dc ram with the same timings as what I currently have. Would combining these two and loosening up the timings in my bios to the 2gig spec be stable (I guess that would be 1.5gig on each channel), or do I have to kiss my original 1gig goodbye in order to upgrade?

Appreciate any help or suggestions.
