Dear ALL I have discovered that the above security patch causes boot failures after it is applied. The conditions that cause the boot failure are :- Dual CPUs SCSI boot disc The fix is to boot from a Windows 2000 or XP CD and selecr Recovery and then Console Copy the ntoskrnl.exe from $NtUninstallKB835732$ folder into \Winnt\System32. The system will then reboot. I have not idea what this means regards stability and security. It seems the patch does not determine the correct kernel. Regards Stephen Carr
