The Weapon, ooh its top secret! My only question is why create such a dangerous weapon? It poses as much threat to it's weilders as it does to those who are unlucky enough to be on the recieving end.

Oh, so sorry to hear that. It was a joke, and remember, in America, you shoot gun. In Soviet Russia, gun shoots you!

Snorkie... random question.. when the Soviet union disolved did Russia adopt the old Soviet national anthem?

The one area that you allways ruled the world with was the "passion" of your national anthem....The Star Spangled Banner & God Save the Queen/King are lame little ditties by comparison....

You actually sat there and watched that whole thing?

Then.. through some random act.. decided to go to Tomshardware, click on the forumz button, click on Community, click on Other, select New Topic, write up a title, post the link, write something in there, and finally click Submit?

You did all that thinking it was worth it? ouch.

Reply to riser

At first the "liberals" that came to power (quite obviously) changed it to something no one remembers.

Then, I think it was new-years eve 2000-2001, it was officially changed back but with different lyrics. A bunch of "human rights activists" complained, but on the whole everyone is happy with the change.

The thought of shooting a pig out of a cannon makes it worth it.

Reply to Action_Man

Someone say "Mythbusters"?

Reply to dwellman

It is no longer in the opening credits, but Adam did wear a t-shirt with same said phrase in one of the early season 3 episodes.

*Gasp!* That would ruin me! The Webmaster should make a new forum section where only Piddy can post. They could title it "SPAM."

Reply to Caboose-1

Umm, I didn't.

We Miss Yeltsin! We Miss Yeltsin!

Between Billy Clinton and him swapping stories on headjobs and booze fests, its no wonder the world was in such great shape.

Not hate...puzzled...why would one connect themselves in such a way to
a simple video game...that's not out yet?

Yeah.. how is that Putin doing? One day I'm liking him and the next day he does something and I'm thinking WTF?

Can't figure out his deal..

Reply to riser

I'm not sure I like all of his (economic) policies, Russian politics are too murky for anything like a clear picture, but he does say the right things, mostly, and he tries.

And that's already far better than any of our leaders since 1918.

What was wrong with Stalin? 8O

Reply to riser

Maybe the little fact that he was a crazy dictator with no compassion for anyone or anything. He killed more Soviet people than Hitler killed Jews.

Reply to Snorkius

yeah, but apart from that?

Reply to andopolis

Apart from that, everything was just peachy.

Not hate...puzzled...why would one connect themselves in such a way to
a simple video game...that's not out yet? Well the most simple explanation I can think of is just that, well, I wan't it. I'm not a tard like most other people prancing around touting 'this' as the best game ever. The Halo series is excellent, but far from being the best game. In my opinion, the best first person shooter has got to be Half-Life 2. It's simply magnificent and it puzzles me that it is frowned upon in the Halo community. You can't compare the two, they are completely different.

Agreed ... coupled with that big brother (We Now have control of your games) steam bullshit....I still think someones going to find a world of exploits in that fookin crap...

Reply to AilingBlackLab

Ya, I gave up playing counterstrike and TFC because steam was pissing me off so much.

Well, you can let Steam handle you, or you can handle Steam..... Your choice..... [shrug]

Well shutting down steam is an easy enough thing to do... Except if you want to play the game....I don't like the idea of a port mandated to be open while playing single player against A.I. & if I remember correctly 4 open ports to play multi player...That just screams exploit...

Keeps updated....

I have had less trouble with Steam than any number of games I've played.... I've played a few years now.... I'll take Steam, myself.... I just wish the rest of the games I've wasted $$$ on played as well.... [shrug]

Reply to RCPilot

Well, I for one like pretty much liked all the FPS I've played (like the sci-fi a bit better than the near future). . . But I think I've played the original Halo more than any of the others-- people forget that when it came out it was the next coming of the Messiah and all. And it was a really good story. I can understand why there's interst in making a theatrical release.

FarCry. . . I do not understand (also slated for theatrical release): totally lame story. Good action, smart enimies (if a bit too lethal at times-- e.g. Trigens), but lame story, cheesy dialogue (although it's reassuringly B-grade to fit the terrible story if one is into that sort of thing) terrible driving interface, and at least two times I attacked an encampment before what would be the "logical" order only to have to restart due to a checkpoint not tripping.

HL2 doesn't share the scope and awe of the original. Death to jumping puzzles.

Halo3: I want to play as a Flood or the Monitor. . .

For me, I like to "Run & Gun"!!!!! HL2 has it......

I'd also have to say that Serious Sam, any of them, is the "Run & Gun" style I like!!!! I don't give a sh-t about a story line, I want to wast sh-t as in the most explosive fashion I can think of......... Serious Sam has got it all!!!!!

Reply to RCPilot

Ah Serious Sam. . . but it was kinda short, like Rampage (not really an FPS, but close), and. . . what's the one with the bullet time? . . . Max Payne. . .

But I much prefer the silent kill over the up close and personal-- unless its a sleeping grunt, or whatnot.

For me it's up close & personal..... Puts me back in the thick of things & I don't have to go back to Nam to do it....... I also like the morphed things to shoot & plenty of canon fodder... So I like it.... [shrug]

umm thats bs, steam port uses 27015 by default and can be changed to anything you want it too, it doesnt take up four ports, whoever told you that was full of shit.

Reply to mrface

*wants to play*

*sniffle!
