INSANE OVERCLOCKED 6800 GT

i just overclocked my BFG 6800 gt oc to 500 mhz i than was able to open 25 piplines. this thing screams and totaly pones any 7800 gt or even a gtx. i am thinking of getting another and using SLI

just wondering if any of you guys have been able to overclock like this before

that my friends is impossible, he definatly could not OC it that much none the less open up 25 pipes, and if he even remotely could, his graphics card would probably be dead in a week if he doesn't have the right cooling

Cant unlock pipelines that aint there and the 6800 isnt a cut down 7800 nor does that 7800 come with 25 pipelines.

LMAO your stupid, A 6800gt will do imho max 475 IF THAT. And 25 pipes my ass the 7800gtx only has like 24.

Yes they are and thats why the 7800 has a larger core even with the die scaled down (and any other chip with more pipelines).

lets see the dudes orb and lets see. I have not seen yet a 6800 of any sort out perform a 7800gtx not im a million years. Although the 500 over clock is possiable because i have mine at 510 but than look at the cooling I have 2 water pumps and a hugh rad with a powerfull fan AC I think the dude as a fast graphic card but the 7800 is by far the winner in ever bench mark so untill you produce an orb nobuddy will beleive the dude.

Current setting are 265MHZ CPU at 2 volts,
Video 485 GPU at 1.75
video 1300 Memory
system memory cl2, cas3, 3, 6
what you see in the display are the gpu temp and water pump rpm,
I have two pumps one for the gpu the other for the cpu runnining off the heater core rad from a 1990 ford pickup.


that temp display pic was taken while playing bf, windows media player running and my quick cam application running taking pics for people to see the temps under full load.

i overclocked your mum and unlocked her extra pipelines

I remember the conversation. I had set up an 4400x2 for a buddy sli, asus premium board with the heatpipe. I was shocked how fast windows setup. I did'nt time it but I it was no longer than 10 mins and I was updating the windows program from ms web site.

I installed a few programs and the progress bar disapeared in a blink or two of an eye, no bluffing dude. What I saw then and said to myself that computer was so fast, ocing would'nt really do a thing.
But now I tried a game on it and the frames are not any faster or even slower than a oced single depending on the type of game and how it was programmed
