just wondering if any of you guys have been able to overclock like this before
December 29, 2005 5:37:58 PM

lol... nice bull...

yea actually i once overclocked my p4 prescott to 10GHZ on air and oc my agp 6600gt to 3 GHz clock speed and 20 Ghz memory....

i got screen shots of your moms tits.

yes i did overclock my 6800 gt to 500 mhz, and yes it can smoke any 7 series

lets see them then nubby, lol
December 30, 2005 1:39:22 AM

correct my if i am wrong but dont they come stock with 16 pipelines and when nvidia gets a chip with damaged pipelines they disable them and a few more to make 12 pipelines to make the 6800LE?

If not the die size of a 6800 would be huge along with the 7800.

Nvidia dont make extra "spare" pipelines.
December 30, 2005 1:55:43 AM

that my friends is impossible, he definatly could not OC it that much none the less open up 25 pipes, and if he even remotely could, his graphics card would probably be dead in a week if he doesn't have the right cooling

Yes, they have all 16 pipes from stock.

BTW 6800LE only has 8 pipes, the 6800 has 12.

- my bad

Cant unlock pipelines that aint there and the 6800 isnt a cut down 7800 nor does that 7800 come with 25 pipelines.
December 31, 2005 10:50:57 AM

don't blame that guy, he soldered a few additional pipelines on the GPU - incredible work!
January 2, 2006 8:07:19 PM

LMAO your stupid, A 6800gt will do imho max 475 IF THAT. And 25 pipes my ass the 7800gtx only has like 24.
January 2, 2006 8:10:26 PM

Correct me if im rong but arnt the pipes in the core?

Yes they are and thats why the 7800 has a larger core even with the die scaled down (and any other chip with more pipelines).
January 2, 2006 10:39:00 PM

yoo you drink tooo much alcohol man gtx has 24 pipes and its in the core and the 6800gt would melt in one second are you kiddding stop drinking or dreaming.
January 2, 2006 11:52:31 PM

lets see the dudes orb and lets see. I have not seen yet a 6800 of any sort out perform a 7800gtx not im a million years. Although the 500 over clock is possiable because i have mine at 510 but than look at the cooling I have 2 water pumps and a hugh rad with a powerfull fan AC I think the dude as a fast graphic card but the 7800 is by far the winner in ever bench mark so untill you produce an orb nobuddy will beleive the dude.
January 3, 2006 12:16:22 AM

yup, better start layin' ORBs cause you can't beat them 73.2 pipeline o' my Geforce X9870 GTXOX. Overcloxored at 5.21 THz

lolerblades and roflcopters
January 3, 2006 12:28:10 AM

roflmao... that up there is jus BS.. nub
January 3, 2006 12:29:00 AM

Wow superdupper trigs overclocked or it that stock, I heard of that before and no cpu or gpu fans just nothing and a 2 million watt psu.
January 3, 2006 4:30:14 AM

for sure dude, I liek even OC'ed my case and my LED's. 870% performance improvements in Doom 3 on Ultra with 30xAA and AF

i'll sue nvidia for that  iLl be a zillionniare...
and one day i will own Japan :!:

Talking about getting high here...
January 4, 2006 11:58:24 PM

i also did overcock my Leadtek 6800GT to 500Mhz Core / 1.1Ghz Ram
it worked FINE!!!!
BUT!!!! after 6 months... my fan died... i sent it w/ an RMA
maybe he is talking about 500mhz speed...
500mhz is VERY POSSIBLE i've done it....
i don't know about this dude's 25 pipe line though... a BS.. i guess
January 5, 2006 12:22:38 AM

I overclocked my coffee maker to 22magavotlts i now get fresh hot coffee in 1 second flat.
January 6, 2006 12:23:09 AM

wtf is with this guys BS... 500Mhz Yeah okay.. maybe on water or extreme cooling tech... 25 Pipe lines? erm what? you got a laser and extreme cnc skillz to add the extra 9 pipe line? total BS.
January 6, 2006 10:32:08 AM

where did I say I had 25 pipes you must have read wrong dude. Needs pics of my system do a search for gomerpile post. No bs on the pic,

Current setting are 265MHZ CPU at 2 volts,
Video 485 GPU at 1.75
video 1300 Memory
system memory cl2, cas3, 3, 6
what you see in the display are the gpu temp and water pump rpm,
I have two pumps one for the gpu the other for the cpu runnining off the heater core rad from a 1990 ford pickup.

that temp display pic was taken while playing bf, windows media player running and my quick cam application running taking pics for people to see the temps under full load.
January 6, 2006 11:32:29 AM

My wife was out-dated and poor driver support, so I upgrade and overclocked girlfriend and now have sex will call!
January 6, 2006 12:08:01 PM

No, my post wasn't at your post, it was for the orignal post claiming 500Mhz and 25 pipelines.
January 6, 2006 4:25:52 PM

I hear ya bro, I over overclocked my dog tail to 500 millions back and forths per second.
January 10, 2006 10:41:34 AM

Holly what the heck 2 post in one night, get the shovels out dudes we are going to need them.
January 10, 2006 1:56:46 PM

It's ridicoulous how long this thread is getting.
You cant "Unlock" pipelines that are not here. It's like "Hey I unlocked the FX-57 that was in my Winchie" ... 8O
January 10, 2006 11:55:11 PM

We've needed your great input on hardware problems mostly on the ocing the new x2's and is it even worth to oc them safely
January 11, 2006 1:42:21 AM

yA know i been good and got a 175 and a HiSx1800xt, on a A8R-MVP, 2x74gig Raptors RAID0 boot drive, and 2x250gig SATA2's
January 11, 2006 1:42:40 AM

and a 2450FPW!!!
January 11, 2006 2:38:08 AM

The internet turned 10yrs. old this year!!

Michael Jackson then asked "HOW DO I GET ON THE INTERNET!"
January 11, 2006 10:44:13 AM

I remember the conversation. I had set up an 4400x2 for a buddy sli, asus premium board with the heatpipe. I was shocked how fast windows setup. I did'nt time it but I it was no longer than 10 mins and I was updating the windows program from ms web site.

I installed a few programs and the progress bar disapeared in a blink or two of an eye, no bluffing dude. What I saw then and said to myself that computer was so fast, ocing would'nt really do a thing.
But now I tried a game on it and the frames are not any faster or even slower than a oced single depending on the type of game and how it was programmed
January 11, 2006 11:25:14 AM

Enough! Do not encourage this guy.
January 11, 2006 12:06:39 PM

Either you meant 15 (which is still not possible) or you are a :!: dumbass :!:

But don't worry i knew a guy in standard 2(1996 i think when p2s were out) who had a pentium 5.

Also i called my computer an amd 65 once, damn a shape keyboard.

Do you get a 6800 like those gigabyte 6600 3d1 things, those cards with dual gpu's? and if so i think he meant 24 pipes.
January 14, 2006 9:03:21 PM

Just oced my rolling papers ,I'll let you know how it went dudes.
January 14, 2006 11:18:32 PM

That Shits Bunk For One Thing Not Even The 7800GTX Has 25 Piplines!!! (It Has 24) But The 500MHz GPU Speed I Do Believe
January 14, 2006 11:19:33 PM

But It Would Reqiure Some Good Cooling
January 16, 2006 1:02:06 PM

" just overclocked my BFG 6800 gt oc to 500 mhz i than was able to open 25 piplines."

25 pipes??

LOL! Riiiight!
January 16, 2006 5:51:19 PM

Yep just went to homedepot and got some piping going to use the arc welder to add a few more pipes. Let you know how the welding went.
January 21, 2006 8:46:01 PM

I overclocked my cock and now it 5 inches longer !!! LOL

This is one of the funniest threads I HAVE EVER READ

BTW, I actually used to overclock my 6800gt's (they did have 16 pipes) to nearly 500mhz (it was 486mhz) with the memory at 1305mhz with a volt mod and watercooling....with chilled water, 500mhz was possible with the 6800gt's. Check www.futuremark.com, ORB and look at the 28000 point scores from last summer for 3dmark03
January 22, 2006 1:21:34 AM

Yep, Just bought an over clocker, apparently this new device also adds extra pipes, but I have to use my over clocked rolling papers and put some good tea in , than I use all the over clocking advice in the forum and go to work at the over clocking, The over clocker is made if ice cubes and butter, the manual says to rub all over processors while running. I’ll let ya know how it worked dudes.
