If this foolhardiness doesnt convince those still sitting on the fence that the MSM is all in for Obama, and the his admin is somewhat clueless, please dont vote.
When the leader of Libya kept saying it was an organized attack and not spontaneous, yet he was ignored, this is truly shameful, and shows to what ends the media will go, as they looked like the fools they are

What absurdities are you talking about again?
September 22, 2012 11:28:41 AM

The only conspiracy to repress the truth here is the spin the idiots in the media have put on the attack.

1. The US Govt whilst possessing a ton of evidence prior to the attack had probably not proceessed enough of it to execute any PPPPPP.

2. After the attack they spent a couple of days processing the evidence to then suggest that the attack was planned.

3. The embassy, staffing and contingency plans were poorly resourced and executed during the attack.

That would not be the case now.

I do not see any official evidence of a coverup in any officially release statements to the media by the govt.

Frankly they were all sctraching their butts trying to make sense out of what just happened.

^ One would think that on the anniversary of 9/11/01, the administration might have a clue or two that some sort of attack would be planned..

The administration's reaction to this is not surprising as they have done this sort of thing before. They are asked about some controversial topic early on and give a "well, here's what we would like to think is going on/went on" statement that happens to line up with their ideology. Then when more information comes out, they have to walk it back. Look at what Obama said early on in the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case if you want an example. With little information out, of course Obama will say that he believes the embassy attack is in reaction to some video. It pushes the blame off of him onto somebody else. If it was organized terrorists plotting the attack, that makes him look bad as he has touted "winning against the terrorists" as one of his accomplishments and uses that record as ammunition to try to cut military funding. Furthermore Obama can pin the blame on some "conservative" that MUST have made the movie and use that to try to further erode at the First Amendment (though some sort of "inflammatory/hate speech" legislation).

However I do agree with you, the media needs to be more critical of people who make these sorts of highly politically-charged statements that end up being incorrect. Everybody listens to the statement, nobody notices the retractions...
September 24, 2012 12:31:22 PM

Im not sure the media needs to be any more critical, its job is to be factual. Fox news and Sarah Palin talking conspiracy theories is not enough to convince me (And hopefully not you).

Im still waiting evidence that the Obama administration is engaged in some sort of conspiracy, because logically Im not even sure how having embassies attacked and American citizens killed is part of an overall game plan......

It makes sense if the game plan is to de-stabilize the Middle East.

But during election season.... And there are easier ways to achieve those ends.

All it would take is a whisper in Israels intelligence community saying Iran is definitely armed and definitely plans to attack Israel. Then publicly support Israel and all choices they make. Boom huge instability with Israel and the US coming out on top.

Not a very convincing conspiracy theory. Its still interesting to think about but logically it makes no sense.
September 24, 2012 1:10:48 PM

You DO know that Iran is currently massing its armed forces in Syria and Jordan via Iraq, right?
September 24, 2012 3:27:34 PM

The fact that the attackers knew where the safe house was, the route they were going to take, and had it all setup and ready for an ambush would lead one to first state it apepared to be a terrorist attack than not.

Seriously. Who shows up to a "spontaneous" protest with a rocket launcher and assault rifles?

Apparently, Libyan intelligence got hold of our NOC list as well. That story from last week has been scrubbed from the interwebz.

Huge setback for the CIAs 'eyes and ears' in the region.

There were only two new programs where I heard the Libyian President gave a press release stating that it was in fact a pre-planned attack; Sean Hannity's daily radio show and The Wilkow Majority, it later showed up on The Blaze and a few other places. But the fact remains the MSM totally failed to report it at all!

My guess is the American Intelligence Community knew that the attacks were going to happen 2-3 days ahead of time and that any inaction by the Obama Administration is just another demonstration of their incompetence and foreign policy failures.

The MSM has been just about anything but critical. The MSM has all but failed to be anything but factual. There is no difference between any of the media organizations; ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX are all alike in their inability to report the news unbiased or factual. Fact is, you'll get more truthful political reporting from watching "Democracy Now!" and the Washington Bureau of Al-Jazeera than anything you'll get out of ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX!

Obama is not directly complicit in any conspiracy but is playing his part in promoting a middle east policy that continues to dedicate American resources to exploit and ensure a steady flow of money and oil so the American Dollar can remain the world backing currency. Ensuring that oil around the world is bought and sold using the petrodollar system has been the backbone of American Middle east policy since the 1950's.

I do not believe the attacks were any sort of conspiracy that Obama was in on. What I am saying is that Obama has tried to score political points by somehow trying to blame his opposition for things that neither his party or the opposition had anything to do with.

Well just about anyone in the US could if they wanted to?

Here the best we could do is take a bit of poly pipe and paint it up to look like a 66 and get a couple of Nerf guns.

I do have a cool Nerf Gun collection ... including the BFG of nerf guns.

Ideal for dealing with the zombies at Murdoch University during that horror week a while back.

One would think that any sitting president would not rely so heavily on personal attacks against an opponent. Granted, it still needs to happen but damn, stand on your own 4 years and show what was accomplished! GW Bush did that.. he didn't sit back attacking Kerry, he stood on his 4 years and won. Kerry on the other hand didn't have a worthwhile base message. Obama will lose because his past 4 years have not been at least average and he is more about winning than doing what is good for the country. Regardless, he will be riding the gravy train the rest of his life.

Now if only Romney could explain how he would do a better job..... then maybe he would have a chance of winning. Too much infighting throughout the entire GOP, not a clear message, no specifics, and stupid mistakes (Online video) over and over again. The only way Romney could win is if he invented a time machine(Because that would be an awesome plot of BttF4).

The election is all going to come down to the three presidential debates. The debates will be Romney's last chance to play his cards right, he's got to bring his "A" game. If Romney does not put forward a hard hitting message with substance, all Obama will have to do is show up and he'll win.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the VP debate. I expect Ryan to give Biden a beat down.

No! The fully automatic assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenades are pretty much as illegal here as they are where you live (I believe Oz?) due to the National Firearms Act of 1934, the Firearms Control Act of 1968 and the Orwellian doublespeak "Firearm Owners Protection Act" of 1986. They are technically able to be legal in a VERY SMALL circumstances and only with MANY separate capricious government bureaucrats' approval.

- Fully automatic weapons must be made before 1986 for a regular person to own. Certain classes of BATFE-approved and registered firearms dealers can temporarily have post-1986 fully automatic weapons but they pretty well only give out those licenses to commercial arms dealers who sell to the military and law enforcement. Your average gun dealer who sells to target shooters and hunters won't get this kind of license.
- Fully automatic weapons made before 1986 must have been immediately registered under the 1968 Act as being restricted firearms under the 1934 act and a tax stamp paid for, else they are illegal under federal BATFE regs. You will also need an in-depth background check from the BATFE as well. Only when that all goes through can you petition your local sheriff's department into letting you possess the weapon in their jurisdiction. Many flat-out reject all applications, much more so than they reject concealed carry permit applications.
- A rocket-propelled grenade launcher is classified as an Any Other Weapon, IIRC. These are also regulated under the 1934 Act. Any Other Weapons IIRC can have been made at any date but you need to get the BATFE tax stamp and local sheriff's department approval. Again, many flat out deny approval.
- Being caught in violation of any of these provisions means that your firearm will be confiscated and you are looking at serious prison time. It is actually not hard to be found in violation of these. You hear every so often about somebody finding an old German Stg44 or MG42 in their Grandpa's attic that their Grandpa took home as a war prize in WWII and promptly forgot about. It didn't get registered and the tax stamp paid for by 1968 so it can now never be registered. That gets treated the same as somebody smuggling in a 20 mm autocannon from Mexico.

So in other words, the only things we have that you do not are *semi*-automatic weapons with things like black folding stock and flash hiders that make them look "military" and thus "scary."

George W Bush should go to prison with Cheney what he pulled with getting us into Iraq for no reason with no weapons of mass destruction at all.Thousands of military getting killed for no dam reason and trillions spent for nothing. To bad someone with balls don't pursue this conviction against Bush and Cheney.

Sure, we'll pursue Bush and Cheney for acting on false British intelligence (Clinton pretty well gutted the CIA so we had little of our own) in cooperation with many other countries' militaries- right after we pursue:

- The Obama administration and any Congressman who voted for Obamacare, for corruption in their actions to get the bill passed. If we can't get all of them, at least get Ben Nelson and Mary Landreau as the "Cornhusker Kickback" and "Louisiana Purchase" were clear-as-glass cases of kickbacks occurring.
- Eric Holder for the Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal
- Katherine Sebelius for using a government jet for campaign purposes. Let's also ding Eric Holder again for failing to do his job and electing not to pursue Sebelius's Hatch Act violation for political purposes.
- Charlie Rangel, Tom Daschle (that's West River's finest for you right there :D ), Tim Geithner, as well as a few other Obama cabinet members and Congressmen for income tax evasion.
- The rest of the GSA higher-ups, for the enormous of waste that went/goes on at the GSA.
- And pretty much all of Congress, for violation of their oath of office, which is to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States. They were supposed to do a number of things that they did not, one of the most important of which was to pass a budget.

Thanks OMG_73 for that history lesson! I was getting ready to post the same, but as usual you are on top of things. It kills me to hear libs refer to Bush and Cheney as being war criminals when they had the full and compete support of the Democrats in Congress.

I'm sure the libs memory will fail when the country goes bankrupt and they will some how find a way to blame conservatives. Oh wait, they already are!!!

September 26, 2012 4:36:19 PM

Holy crap! It's been over two weeks after the attack on the Consulate in Benghazi the effed up lame-stream media is FINALLY reporting the truth about what happened.

Libyan president: Benghazi attack was a ‘preplanned act of terrorism’

Sad thing is this is something the Libyan president actually announced on 9/12 along with the fact that his intelligence groups knew about the attack 2-3 days before 9/11.

There may be not a conspiracy (maybe it's just a cabal!) between the media and the Obama Administration but the media certainly is complicit in releasing news until it is more politically convenient for Obama, i.e.; releasing this after his U.N. address.

If you remember, the Dems in Congress even demanded a 2nd resolution vote in Congress to go to war in Iraq. Not enough of them got in on the Yes vote in the first time around.

Another piece of conveniently forgotten recent history. Right marv?
September 26, 2012 6:07:37 PM

Looking at the Iraq resolution wiki page it looks like 61% of Senate dems voted against, and 41% (including my guy Bernie Sander) of the house dems voted against.

Its also worth noting that there were some discrepancies between what the people were told about WMD's and what was actually found.

I think Saddam had to be removed its just a shame about what a turd sandwich this has turned into.

What rubs me the wrong way about the whole "blame bush and Cheney for Iraq" thing is that the biggest attackers and critics of Bush and Cheney after the crap hit the fan in Iraq were also the same hypocrite Democrats that voted for going into Iraq; critics like then Senator Hillary Clinton, Schumer, Kerry, Dodd, Reid, Biden, Daschle, Feinstein, etc...

wanamingo said:

There was no discrepancy. America supported Iraq during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war and knew that Saddam was using chemical weapons on Kurdish villages. If there was any discrepancy it was because Saddam was smart enough to destroy the evidence before American forces could capture it.

wanamingo said:

It is a shame. It makes you wonder if we would be having the issues with Iran today if Saddam was still in power to keep his boot on their neck.
September 26, 2012 9:43:17 PM

Saddam moved the majority of his stockpiles to Syria during the 6 month buildup of U.S. forces. Our intelligence showed 24 hour convoys flowing into Syria and Jordan from all parts of Iraq. We had the drones watching, just no assets in place at the time to do anything about it.

I can't believe we would have just let them 'walk' into Syria. At least I don't want to believe Bush/Cheney et al deliberately let that happen.

Anyway, those weapons are now in dispute. Many will fall into the hands of people that want to use them and have the will.

Now with reports of Iran moving its armed forces into the area via Northern Iraq. And since we "pulled out of Iraq", we're not doing anything to stop it.

Anyone see a war being engineered here?

Any chess players here? If so then you will understand it when I say, the pieces are nearly in place.

That's a terrible thing to wish on someone marv. You don't even know me and you want harm to come to me and my family? Shame on you!

My company is in a very niche market. Water treatment. Even during the recession we enjoyed 5-8% growth year over year. This year we have enjoyed double digit growth in every quarter and are looking to break a record in the last quarter of 2012.

Everything requires water. All manufacturing, food processing, textiles, petro, energy generation, mining, everything. Even during a recession/depression, clean water is still required for nearly everything.
