Hi all,
I installed an additional clean formated western digital sata drive on my computer. Bios detects it fine. It appears fine in Device manager. But if i go to "My Computer" I dont find it under Hard disks but under network drives. whats up with that???
also I have an icon on the taskbar showing that I can "safely remove hardware" with the hardive listed there, whats up with that too?

Check for any drive letter conflicts. That would cause your drive to not appear.

Under Disk Management, you can change the drive letter and path. Maybe you can fix it there. (My Computer->Manage->Storage->Disk Management).

I'll save that tip for some other time.
Meanwhile before u replied I simply hooked the hardrive to a different sata slot on my mobo and it worked fine.
Thanks anyways though.
