Hi,

I was just wondering if someone could help me out. I am looking at the AGP version of the x700 graphics card. I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to upgrade to that from my AIW 9600 128MB I have right now. I'm looking at playing the upcoming Star Wars Empire at War game which gamespot says will be graphics heavy, Civ 4, and Call of Duty 2. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would get an x800 series card. Like maybe an x800 XT or Pro. The x700 isn't going to run COD2 all that great. The 9800 XT outperforms the x700XT in most benchmarks... so what does that tell ya? :)

I used to have an x800 Pro and it ran COD 2 great.

I'd say GeForce, it will have SM3.0 and FP32 support, which puts it already ahead of the Radeon X series, a 6800GT should be fine and shouldn't be that hard to find for a decent price (just check around)

Also, just because an X800 might outperform a 6800 in some games, consider it won't run games with SM3.0 or FP32...so the GeFoce 6 already has it beat there...
