IOMEGA REV clicking issue

Hello, this is my first post here

I have used a REV drive for the past year or so.

it's a good solution

WELL, it WAS a good solution, 1 year and 2 months after initial purchase, the rev started Clicking and the disk wouldn't eject with the button, so I called up Support. they said nothing could be done so thye offered a 200US$ replacement which I had no choice to take.


the remplacement comes...(a refurbished drive) and what do you know 2 weeks later that unit also clicks(at least this one had another 1 year warranty) So I had to call them up again and have another one shipped.

NOW this is my third IOMEGA REV CLICKING!!!

so we have been without a back up solution for almost 3 months now and I'm sick of this nonsense.

The drive on paper is good, but in the real world, 3-4 hours of use every day it doesn't hold up on the long run.

I wouldn't recommend this solution to anyone.

we have many disks here(8) and none of them are working.
the REV system is on an APC UPS.

While on topic I was wondering if anyone had similar issues with this drive?
