I have a NT4 server that ime installing RAS on , RAS installs fine but when
the reboot is done the computer browser service fails with an error: 2310.
This prevents clients to connect to the file sharing on the server. I have

Uninstall RAS. Reboot. Reinstall RAS, do NOT reboot, reapply the service
pack that your at then reboot. You must reapply the service pack whenever
you add something from the original NT CD.

Hi Jonan,

Microsoft did actually document this particular problem in a Knowledgebase
article. Unfortunately, the title doesn't make it easy to find :-(

151427 - Server Service May Fail After Installing Network Card

When you read the detail of this article, you discover that it also applies in
the situation you are describing - basically, any activity that adds the TCP/IP
protocol from the NT Install CD will trigger this situation.

Hope this helps.

Calvin.
