ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe is this right for me? Help>>

Ok here is my intended rig:

Antec P180case
Antec True Power 2 550wPSU
OCZ Platinum Series Ram
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80gb and 120 gb Hard Drives
XFX 7800GTX 256mb (490 - 1300 )Video Card
Opteron 150
Zalman 7700CU CPU Fan

I am getting a really good deal on this mobo from my friend which works @ ASUS, however is it going to work well with my rig, and if I decide to overclock my Opty in the future, can this board handle it? I really wanted the DFI Lanparty UT Expert board, which is known for being a stellar overclocker board, but is it safe to say this ASUS board will be good for my system? It is saving me some good money. Can anyone give me their opinion?

Another Question: If I purchase Artic Silver 5, how do I apply this to my CPU efficiently seeing that the opterons core is not visible? Seriously need help with this one as well

im sure the A8N only supports AMDs, if you go for the A8N go for the Premium versoin then you wont get all the teething problems the deluxe version has.
