x700 pro hybrid agp

hi, there is a chip on the back of my graphics card, its almost as big as the gpu chip only it has loads of what look like micro resistors on it, i was just wondering what it does, it may be a converter chip or something like that to convert the pcix version of the card to the agp version. im just curious as to what it does, thanks in advance.

oh an i was wondering if there was any other way of making it go quicker other than overclocking, unlocking pipelines ect, it has a rv410 core
