I have a "Seagate FreeAgent Go". It's 320 GB w/ a Serial Number: 2GE28HHM.
Need to bypass the password!
I didn't realize I'd put a password on it a couple of years ago, I've used it prolifically for backups on the same computer and never had to re-enter any password.
I backed up my computer before reformatting it, and when I went to restore, it asked for a password.
I've tried hundreds of combinations, with no results.
Does anyone know how I can get into this external without loosing my data?

From the manual: If you have lost or can't remember the password, there is no way of recovering the data.

these forums cannot help you on the bypass of the password because we cannot confirm the ownership of the said product. for assistance, you will have to talk to the manufacturer about this problem
