Um, I know they have Pixel Shader 2.0 for sure and not 3.0. Probably can't do HDR.
Links to come.

Edit: THG VGA Charts VII - Serious Sam 2 HDR

NewEgg.Com's Mainstream GPUs & VPUs (Excel Spreadsheet)

Edit 2: Actually if you look throughout the THG VGA Charts I posted, you'll also see in tests with Shadows on, that the ATI cards are once again cut out of the testing, as most of them do not support PS 3.0.

And for one more post within 3 minutes...

If you're dead set on PS 3.0 and HDR for an AGP card, you might try for a 6800XT AGP for $155 and overclock/unlock that. Or you could wait a few weeks for the 6800GS AGP to come out. It's supposed to start at about $250. Both of these use NV40 cores and thus will be able to be unlocked to 16 pipes assuming all pipes arrive intact (its kind of a gamble with these cards).

The GS will support OpenGL 2.0. The XTs available only support 1.5.

you need to get into the X1000 series of the ATI cards before there is support for Pixel Shader 3.0 and HDR.

Actually every ATi card since the R9500/9700 can do HDR, just not a specific type of HDR known as OpenEXR. The R3xx and R4xx series can do HDR in HL2 lost coast.

However support for all of the features of SM3.0 does require upgrading to the X1xxx series (and the GF7 series if you're anal about level of support).

However there isn't much motivation to get a GF6 for SM3.0 titles since they can barely handle the features, whereas the GF7series and X1xxx series can easily handle turning on all the features without having the same level of impact.

Good to know. Thx. :)

Ah i see thanks for all the info, i just got a dfi lanparty ut ultra-d board and i was looking for a good PciE card i owned a 6800gt agp before that it was pretty kick ass. But i want them nice shaders and HDR on my new card so i can turn up all the eye candy on my system @1024x768 (native monitor res)

So i guess x1k or 7800gt it is. Im kinda planning a budget setup with a bang to it.

I was planning on this what do you think?
This upgrade only costs me 240$ cause i sold my 6800gt on ebay for 210$
Thats if video card is 300$ of crouse...

A64 939 3000+ (hopefully @2.2ghz)
DFI Lanpart UT Ultra-d
Ocz modstream 520W psu
2x512 OCZ gold series 2-2-2-5 (im shootin for 1-2-2-5)
x1k or 7800gt

Can you wait 'til the end of the month?

With the introduction of the X1900XT/XTX, et al. in January the price of both the X1800s and GF7800s should come down somewhat, and those will both give you some great playability. Also the RV560 should be out and will be a far better card than the X1600XT and should make additional pricing interesting at the upper mid-raqnge (may be above or below the current GF7800GTs).
