I have a low end machine I got cheap, VERY cheap. But it has no AGP slot. Onboard graphics of this emachines is AGP. No PCI Xpress. Just PCI slots.

I am using a new PNY nvidia FX5500. Not the greatest in the world. To play BF2 I need something a bit better.

What is the fastest PCI card, new or old? I could go to eBay or online stores to get an older model if necessary.

I know ATI has a model out, new, but how much better is it? Worth the money?

Any older card out there that would be faster than the FX5500? BF2 uses a lot of Directx 9.

Well for what'cha got, the 5500 isn't TOO old.
ATI 7000? Now That's Old.
PCI is a dinosaur, but honestly since Intel really doesn't sport too many Cele boards with anything other than PCI slots for graphics upgrades
the PCI isn't dead YET.
(They'll put a dedicated AGP or PCIe slot with a P4, but never with a Celeron-unless you custom order it)
Check tigerdirect.com to see if they have anything better than you're running. They seem to be good at getting anything I need, so maybe they can help you.
I'm thinking I spotted a 6200 PCI, but don't know for sure.
The 5500 and 6200 don't look that much different. Same Blue PCB, fan, and such.
