Win7 Sidebar gadgets

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me why Sidebar gadgets, CPU and network meters wont appear on my screen. When I run them all I get is a tiny white box w/an arrow in it. Other gadgets,clocks etc. appear as they should.
I`ve gone to Task Manager and they supposedly are running. Have deleted and run them again with same result. Thanks in advance for any replies.

when you open the gadget box on the desktop do you see them,you could try these http://www.myfavoritegadgets.info/ and load them with windows live gallery

Yes I`ve tried both download sights Scout. Still no luck. When I open The gadget box (which is pre-installed on Win7 )their is the meter available for download. When I run it, meter won`t open on desktop.. Thanks for your suggestion.

on gadget box try install then not just running and see if they appear on desktop
