A few days ago i turned on my computer with my optiquest Q91 CRT monitor. The monitor wouldn't come on. I was not receiving a no signal message or anything of the sort; the power LED did not light up. I tried plugging the monitor into a different outlet with no results. I tried a different monitor on the computer. All i received was the power LED flashing back and forth between "on" and "power saving" modes, with no actual images on the screen. I think there might be a problem with the video card, but I'm not sure what would have caused it. I have a surge protector so I don't think that a power surge to the monitor is possible. Help is appreciated.

Have you tried the monitor on a different computer?

No, but that shouldn't matter, because the monitor isn't getting any power, right. In the past when I have had trouble with the monitor, i receive a "no signal" message and it works fine with another computer. This time however, the monitor siimply does not receive power. I plan to try this, but I doubt it will work. Thanks for the tip anyway
