I'm in the process of building a 2nd pc and I plan on networking it with my other pc. If you're running cable access and have both the pcs on the net, does it slow the access down?

You will not notice it expect when you downloading large files at high speed at same time.

Might as well say that your download and upload speeds will be halved to each pc, but that's a worst case scenario. Like Upec says, you have to be fairly active with both at the same time.

For normal web surfing, you would not notice a difference.
