I have a gig of OCZ Gold memory based on Winbond BH5 chips. Are these compatable with the DFI Lan Party UT NF3 Ultra-d? I'd like to hang onto my video card a little longer, and the DFI seems like a great choice (pending if you can find it). The UV reactive components are also a draw, as I have UV cold cathodes. I have found the board, but I am hesitant to take the final step as I have heard that some boards are finicky about Winbond chips.

If anyone has a clue, I'd appreciate it. If there's another board out there that's similar (UV reactive, OC happy, AGP) let me know, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

From what i've heard about BH-5 ram chips being the excellent overclockers that they are, i'd guess that mating a great overclocking board and ram setup would do wonders. I doubt the mobo will ruin the ram and visa versa. You may get BSOD if the chips are not compatible with the board, but by no means would you ruin your ram by running it at stock speeds.
I'd throw it in, benchmark for a while to check stability and then decide about overclocking.

Anandtech has a decent review for the ram and mobo combo here:

Definetly theyre a mix. DFIs NF4 SLI-DR/ Expert are both great choices for OCing mobos.
