Hey Melissa,
I was just wondering if you ordered your video card online...... If so
where... It is time to upgrade this video card I have with one to match the
rest of my puter. I have the same one as you have except mine is made by
VisionTek.

I ordered all of the new bits from newegg.com, as it was a site I've
seen highly recommended by people I've noticed upgrading their
machines over this past year. I finally got the notice yesterday
that the items had been shipped (I guess something may have gone out
of stock for a few days, hence the delay).
Before this, I'd always ordered hardware bits from my local computer
guy, and while I still want him to perform some maintenance on the
machine (and at the same time, install all these new bits), his
prices for individual bits of hardware can be a little higher than at
newegg.com, so he understands my reason for going about it in this
way (he said he'd do the same if he were in my position!). :-)
When I was originally shopping around, I had decided on the
"Connect3D" built version of the card (ATI Radeon 9800 Pro), but by
the time it came to actually making the order, the Connect3D card was
no longer in stock, so I ordered a card apparently made by ATI
themselves (well, at least there was no indication that it was made
by anyone else).
I live in a slightly out of the way place, so things do tend to take
a bit longer to get here, so I guess it'll be sometime next week when
these things will arrive. While I wait, I'll be ordering a few
planes and a bit of scenery to celebrate the soon to be "new and
improved" machine! :-)

May I reccommend www.ebuyer.co.uk for UK computer parts. Faitly cheap, and
excellent customer service.
I've ordered loads of stuff from them and only ever had two faulty goods,
and the delivery times are great. Highly recommended.
Jimbo.
