hi, just want to ask u guys what exactly is the best DVD Writer at the moment

what i found in THG is NEC ND-3550A
but i also found that there's a good one too named LG GSA-4167B

what i really need is really Stable and Reliable Writing, i need to burn alot of CD's that are used for special Audio puposes
i need multiple formats too

lets say Plus and Minus are Standard (with 16x, and RW), i want Dual Layer too, DVD-RAM is optional exactly

thnx,
PltDlc.

I have the nec ND-4550a which is the same as the 3550a but also does dvd-ram. Cost me in the Uk £29 for 3550 or £30 for the 4550 so I went 4550.

Pros, no coasters at 16x dvd-r out of 10 so far

Cons, makes serious noise when writing but then Im compairing this to my old 4x writer so the increase in speed will increase noise.

aha, thnx for the posts guys, got just a little final question?

Reliability? in details i want a burner that burns stable and without problems but not perfect coz there aint any, all i want is that those Burned Mediums CAN be READ in all other DVD RW or ROM too.

i think this should make a kinda "vote" more easy for u guys, its just that i never thought i will need a DVD Writer, im not really a fan of Optical Drives :S
