USB 2.0 would not work

hi, i just finished building my first computer with the help of a friend.
i followed directions and installed everything as i could best understand it. it booted up and i'm typing this on the said new computer. my problem is that the usb 2.0 ports do not work. windows xp doesn't even recognize my webcam. i know it's not the os because my other two computers recognize my webcam. another thing is that the front panel usb ports also do not work. the headpohone and mic work horribly on the front panel. what am i do wrong.

maybe it has something to do with the motherboard and its drivers? i've been reading on their forums that this mobo has problems with usb 2.0. does anyone know how to fix this?

1. Make sure you have SP2 installed
2. Make sure to install the drivers that came with your MB
3. Check Device Manager, and make sure that all your USB 2.0 hubs are installed... doh i forgot to do that once.

If the back ports work then it might be your case.
I had the same problem with my antec case.
Turns out the usb ports on the front panel were usb 1.. not 2.

i did all of that, it still doesn't work...the back ports work incorrectly...like it reconizes usb mouse but not my webcam...and front still don't work..i think it might be the case
