Hello RAID Gurus,

Newbie here, be gentle :)

I have two Seagate 160GB SATA drives. One is 7800.7 (1.5Gbps with NCQ) and the other is 7800.9 (SATA II). I think there is a difference in platter densities, but both have 8MB cache and approximately same seek times.

Can these be used together in a RAID 0 setup?

Thanks, Chav.

Both should work as fast as the slowest drive... Which will be a minimal difference. I would say, go for it and try.. At least, you,l learn something
