CPU Fan suddenly remaining at full speed

Hi everyone,

I have an MSI K8N Diamond mobo, and recently i noticed that the CPU fan is staying at maximum RPM (around 6200) all the time. It used to slow down noticeably just when windows began initializing the desktop while booting.

any ideas? its very annoying as its quite loud!

i have simillar problem with MSI 6577 mobo. In my case mobo is not booting. There is a custom chip from MSI which controlls the fan speed.
Check the temp sensor. One inside the processor others.
