noob builder question...

I'm looking at doing my first build and I want to get a USB keyboard.. what are the odds of being able to set up the BIOS with it?.. or am I going to have to borrow a friend's PS/2. I would be getting the EVGA mobo that comes free with one of the 7800 GT series.

Even if you do have problems (which you shouldnt), $5 will get you a basic PS/2 Keyboard (or a USB to PS/2 Adapter). In other words, go for it!

Depends on the board. If an nForce4 board, it should be no problem. I know it does not work with nForce2.

As far as with ULi or ATI, I couldn't say. However, I second the $5 wired keyboard idea - it's bailed me out on a few occasions, even if it sits in the closet 99.9% of the time.

thanks, it is an nForce4 board. I put in my order in this morning from Zipzoomfly. Hope I don't have any problems. I wanted to go with Newegg like everyone recommends but I saved hundreds in tax and shipping.
