And using the adapter puts little shadows to the right of everything. I'm guessing this is an adapter problem and was wondering if I got a dvi to vga cord it would fix it or if it would still be the same vga to dvi problem and giving me the same shadows. Also if you know of any fixes that I could try that'd be great too, thanks!

Well I hooked up a different CRT monitor and the problem is gone, although I dont like this one as much as my other one looks like I'm stickin with it for now.
