I am ready to purchase a NVidia 6600GT AGP. While browsing NEWEGG.com's offerings I noticed that GigaByte's card($166.00) has no cooling fan. Could this become a problem? There were cheaper cards that show a fan. What do the more pricey cards have that the cheaper ones don't. Are there any that I need to stay away from.

As long as you have sufficient air flow going through your case silent solutions such as the one you mentioned will be fine. Although if you plan to overclock I would go with one that does have a fan. As your end result would be much better.

the difference is more material which gives an higher production price and that your pc won't be so noisy when playing games, for the rest, i only see disadvantages, less room in your case, a bad overclock result,...
