I am looking for dual opteron motherboard with the following specs:

2 socket 940
6 or 8 ECC DDR slots
2 PCI-E x16 slots (or SLI switchable 8x+8x/16x+1x)
1 or 2 PCI-E x1 or x2 slots
2 or 3 PCI 32-bit slot
1 or 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports
1 Firewire port
4 USB2.0 ports
4 or 8 SATAII ports
2 ATA ports
1 Floppy drive port

It's SLI certified and has 2x PCI-e 16x slots. It also has 8 DIMM slots and 4 SATAII ports. It doesn't have any PCI-e 1x or 2x slots, but it has PCI-X and regular PCI.

All in all a pretty bad ass board!

If this board doesn't cut it, look for boards with the NVIDIA nForce Professional 2200 MCP and 2050 chips.

I know about NV2200/2050. I am looking for the motherboard based on that chipset, but with specs listed above.

Hey 486:

If you already have such knowledge about the chipsets, you should be fully capable of finding that cutting edge motherboard yourself ... If the manufacturers don't list anything that matches your specs, maybe it's not out yet or you'd better be thinking of ways to adapt with the existing ones ...

You want to have your cake and eat it too.

The only thing missing on that board is a PCI-e 1x slot. It has PCI-X slots which are just as good. Besides, the only things that use PCI-e 1x/4x slots are RAID controllers and hdtv tuners. There are more available RAID controllers on PCI-X than PCI-e. So suck it up.
