Start with some simple troubleshooting.

1. Does the monitor work on another PC?

2. Does a different monitor work on your Problem PC?

3. Can the Vid Card be put into another slot on the Problem PC?

4. Are there any conflicts in the Device Manager?

5. Can you check the Vid Card in another PC? If so, does it work there?

Hopefully that will help. Good luck.

damm it, i tried the moniter on my laptop, it works so it can only be the graphics card.

zaburba is right.

sylvez is also right. now let's try some basics..

unplug you video card. get a rubber eraser and erase the contact points of the card. clean the dirts.be careful.

plug it again. boot.

kk ill give it a chance.

but if i have instaled the 9800 pro drivers can i plug it into onbord graphics port and get the moniter to work?

Reply to TurkzZ

See if you can re-enable the onboard VGA and hit F8 and go into safe mode when you boot. You should be able to remove the ATI drivers there.

Funny same thing happened to me day before yesterday !
have a Asus GF-4 ti4400 (ancient) on a equally ancient Soyo P4S dragon
changed out the hsf with the vantec iceburg hsf
,then my lcd 19" fujitsu panel things began to get a little quirky then it gradually got worse and then flashing green light ,no image at all through my dvi interface ,thought it was t5he the vid card,at first then after switching it around with my other boxes ,I isolated the problem to my beloved no name Fujitsu panel's dvi input! I would have rathathered Fried my GF-4 instead!!!!
after sweating it,for 2 days applying as3,and ceramique to the gf4 (wasted a bunch of it) last ditch effort to trouble shoot I cleaned the DVI cable and GUESS WHAT? It WORKED !  this was just a few hours ago!Whew
