I recently ordered the barebones package (linked below, in the rich text file) for $68.99 delivered, as a "tinker with" first- timer system build. Well, I've already figured out to avoid the included PowMax 480W PSU. I have a Fortron 300W to replace that, thanks to help from folks on these forums. And as I research the included ECS L4VXA2 mobo, I'm thinking it will likely be more trouble than happiness.

Could I have a recommendation for a reliable and steady, yet budget-friendly, ATX mobo that will support a 2.8 GHz P4 socket478 533fsb 512K (Northwood) and which has an Intel chipset, an AGP 3.0 (8x) slot, and two IDE controller ports, and onboard 10/100 Ethernet RJ-45 support? Thanks for your recommendation. Rich Text File below:

i used a p4c800e deluxe for my dad's system a few years ago, and it's been rock solid. don't know if you can still find them around, but if you can, i'm sure you could probably pick one up cheap.
