Can I build my own Laptop? (choose my hardware)
beacause I'm in budget, if possible dis are the hardware list i'm palnning to build:
I will use my old processor P4 1.7Ghz socket 478 (would it be possible)
512 RAM (the cheapest) DDR333
video card 5200G0 128MB?
5400RPM HDD (the cheapest) 40GB
I gonnause it 4 school? I'm already on 2nd year college :(

Yah, unfortunatley you can't simply take desktop parts and shove them in a laptop chassis.

It is possible to custom build a laptop (with notebook parts) but it would be cheaper for you to buy from someone like dell. I believe Dell offers discounts to students, so you might want to check that out as well.

No way you'll build a laptop for what you could buy a prebuilt with the same components for. Check Acer, right now they are probably giving the best value.
