When our Terminal Services(Citrix) users attempt to launch the shortcut for
"New Office Documents" the get an error "Only administrators have permission
to add, remove, or configure server software during a Terminal service
remote seesion. If you want to install or configure software on the server,
contact you network administrator."

Any idea's would be greatly appreciated.

Which OS do you run on the Terminal Server? And which version of
Office?

Sounds like a problem with the templates folder. Check the search
path to the templates folder for your users, make sure they can read
it.

Well, we have 5 Citrix servers all running on Windows 2000 Server with
Office 2000. Only one of the servers is acting this way the other 4 are
fine. I check the security on the Template folder on the Server and compared
it to one that is working and they are both the same (Terminal Service Users
have Modify and Server\Users have Read). What do you mean by check the
search path of the Template folder?

From within Word, go to Tools - Options - Search path tab (might
be called a bit different, I'm translating from Swedish), check if
the path to the templates directory that is listed there is the
correct one.

Has this been working correctly before on this server? If so, what
has been changed prior to this problem? Did you install Office
with the transform file from the Resource Kit?
