if your going to go a couple years between upgrades you might want to look at a socket 754 pci express dfi board for $80 from newegg. a 7800GT vid card $299 at newegg and a 3400 socket 754 DTR on pricewatch.com from zipzoomfly for $153 (free shipping) this puts you at about $532 before shipping. You will get more mileage out of the vid card than the processor you have chosen and then you can skip socket 939 completly in exchange for the next generation boards comming out this year when they are cheap in 2007 with bugs worked out. Some will disagree with me but I do this myself and skip generations and have no problems and save money.

You can go to www.pricewatch.com and find it under the cpu section advertised by zipzoomfly. later you can add another 512 ram withouth penalty and go to 1.5 gigs of ram if needed since the motherboard has 3 slots. You can compare on toms cpu charts as well and it should be comparable if not faster than the 939 you selected.
