Currently got 1x 512Mb Ballistix PC4000 and 1x PC3200. Running in Dual Channel at 250 1T 3-3-4-8, 3V. Not really tried pushing much more since I've only had it running for a few hours after a new mobo/reinstall.

Is running sweetly though
A64 3200 @ 2.5Ghz
Abit KN8 Ultra
1Gb Crucial Ballistix @ above settings
Inno3d Geforce 6800GS @ 500/1100
3dMark '05 ~ 5850

My main Question is, how much Voltage is safe to put through the crucial? I know Wusy would have some ideas here...

I see your username has came back to haunt you eh?
LOL... nope, still only killed the 9800P. Still got my Epox board and the old AGP 6800GT card.... Both of them seem fine by themselves, but put them together and you get the jerky problem. :?

That's more or less what I thought - I'll be shooting for 260 or 265, 1:1 I think. I'll see how far 3V takes me (after all, the stuff is supposed to do 1T 2.5-3-4-8 @ 250Mhz), but I'll not bother going higher than 3.1 should I need more V.

Had some fun trying to get it to install windows, until I realised it was detecting the RAM at 2.6V, when SPD says 2.8..... So I though since I was changing it, might as well bump it up a little (it being mis-matched sticks).

It's so nice to have a mobo that'll do more than 2.8Vdimm (which was actually always around 2.76 IIRC, board undervolted a little)

It's a core based on the 6800, but on a smaller process (110nm), and with only 12 pipelines, but clocked higher (due to better process), which means at stock it performs about the same as a 6800GT (some better, some worse..)
At stock the 6800GT is 350Mhz/16pipes, but the GS is 425Mhz/12pipes. It's also a very good overclocker according to most reviews, and mine would appear to support that conclusion

I'm sure there's plenty more in it yet.... Had some minor crashing issues yesterday, but I think those were down to the CPU - minor vCore bump seemed to sort it out, but I'll test it more tonight.

6800GS is the cheaper-to-produce replacement for the 6800GT. It's like a 12-pipeline version of the 6600GT core, with the 256-bit memory interface from the 6800GT. Because the core is similar to the 6600GT, it clocks a lot higher than the 6800GT, and it can beat the 6800GT with both at stock speed, in some benchmarks.

...And my understanding is that it's a custom-designed core with 12 pipes, so no unlocking to be had, unfortunately.. Still, it's such a huge step back up from the Ti4600 I was forced to use for a couple of weeks, that I can't help but be happy with it. 8)

Yes! Like I said, the 6800GS chip clocks like the 6600GT, but has 12pp and a 256-bit memory interface. And you know that 470x12>350x16 comparing the 6800GS chip to the 6800GT chip.

Unfortunately, if you're stuck with AGP, the 6800GS isn't really available, as AGP versions come with the slower chip.
