this is my first thread in this forum , sol plz i need a little help over here
i have AMD 4200 X2 and i have one question
how can i overclock it ??

There are alot of stickys etc on all different sites on how to overclock. I would suggest clockgen + prime its simple and you dont have to keep rebooting comp to bios etc.

can i overclock it to 3.0 ghz without jamming my pc ??
and how ?? each time i try to overclock it to more than 2.5 my pc jams

you can only up the fsb so much before your system becomes unstable.
you're going to have to do a combination of things to get the most out of your overclock, or to reach the speeds you're looking at. my suggestion to you would be to do some serious searching(google it if need be) for what people with comparable equipment to you, have been able to achieve.

overclocking is such a tempermental thing...it varies depending on the mobo you use, the chip you have, the stepping on said chip, the cooling you have etc. i just built a system with the same cpu and i use an msi board and the msi corecell program lets me change the fsb and voltage on the fly or i can go into the bios and turn on the Dynamic Overclocking and let the mobo decide when to overclock (i.e. under a load) or not.
